![]() ![]() What do you think? I would probably be able to make a PR later this week. By click run button, you can see whole proccess in the monitor and result in the console. Here is the sample code to show how to take screenshot with puppeteer API. In any other situation puppeteer would behave as it does now. Puppeteer ready docker environment, last version of puppeteer, chrome, Chromium and nodejs. If path IS NOT set while calling screenshot and screenshotsDir exists, screenshotsDir will be used.If path IS set while calling screenshot, it will be appended to the screenshotsDir.This can probably be a part of puppeteer.launch options and I think the correct behavior would be: ![]() const puppeteer require ('puppeteer') async function run. Simple Program to take a screenshot in Puppeteer as an image file. Puppeteer not only provides the capability to take a screenshot but also provides options on how the screenshot should be. My proposal would be to add screenshotsDir path where the screenshots would be saved. We can capture a screenshot of the webpage using screenshot () function present in Puppeteer. Anyway, it would be nice to have the screenshots in a separate directory, outside of the code and config files. By default, puppeteer will always start chromium with a new, empty page (or tab) with the url about:blank. It saves the screenshot locally to a file named 'google.png'. So, I always end up writing my own wrapper of it, which is not a problem, but I believe it'd be more elegant when it's an integrated option. This puppeteer script launches a new instance of headless chrome, navigates to the url ' and captures a screenshot of the page. When I want to have a centralized directory where I store my screenshots (as I do some post-processing, email sending, etc.) it's a little bit annoying to write the same path over and over again when calling screenshot function. ![]()
